The Sensory Experience

The Veneto Wine Way allows you to discover not only the taste of the wines, but also the culture and tradition surrounding them. Along the way, you can visit historic wineries, participate in guided tastings, and appreciate the region’s fascinating landscape, which ranges from the rolling hills of Valpolicella to the hills of Valdobbiadene.

The “Veneto Wine Way” is a unique sensory journey that takes you through some of Italy’s most renowned wine areas, with a special focus on the wines of Veneto. This region is one of the most important in the Italian wine scene, thanks to the variety of fine wines and centuries-old tradition in wine production.

Veneto’s Principal Wine Zones

  1. Valpolicella:

    • Famous Wines: Amarone, Recioto, Valpolicella Ripasso.
    • Characteristics: Valpolicella is famous for its intense and structured red wines, particularly Amarone, made from partially dried grapes that give the wine a unique concentration and depth.
  2. Soave:

    • Famous Wines: Soave Classico.
    • Characteristics: This area is known for its elegant and fresh white wines with floral aromas and pleasant acidity, perfect with fish and seafood dishes.
  3. Prosecco di Valdobbiadene:

    • Famous Wines: Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
    • Characteristics: Prosecco is one of the most famous Italian sparkling wines in the world, known for its lively bubbles and fruity flavors, ideal for aperitifs or celebrations.
  4. Bardolino:

    • Famous Wines: Bardolino, Chiaretto.
    • Characteristics: Bardolino is a light, fresh and fruity red wine, often associated with its proximity to Lake Garda. Chiaretto is the rosé version, ideal for summer.
  5. Euganean Hills:

    • Famous Wines: Fior d’Arancio, Colli Euganei Rosso.
    • Characteristics: The Euganean Hills offer a range of wines, both white and red, with a special focus on Moscato Giallo, which gives rise to Fior d’Arancio, an aromatic and sweet wine.
